The Horsepasture Volunteer Rescue Squad has received six Lenovo all-in-one desktop computers from Womack Electric Supply to upgrade technology in the squad’s classrooms and administrative spaces.
As an all-volunteer agency, the rescue squad prioritizes its budget for lifesaving equipment, including ambulance and medical supplies. The squad previously relied on outdated computers in its two classrooms that made presentations, video calls and computer-based training difficult.
The new computers will allow volunteers to complete training and continuing education at the station, as well as assist with administrative work and call reports.
The donation was made through Womack Electric Supply’s Community Outreach Program.

According to the rescue squad, the six computers will be used for instructor-led and self-directed training, continuing education and administrative tasks.
The six newly installed Lenovo All-in-One desktops will serve multiple high-impact purposes:
– Instructor-Led and Self-Directed Training — The computers will enable two classrooms to facilitate in-house and public lag-free training in safety, first aid, and advanced lifesaving skills without the disruption of outdated hardware.
– Licensing and Compliance — EMTs can now easily complete mandatory Continuing Education (CE) credits directly at the station, reducing the need to travel for certifications. Perfect for members studying for exams and recertification.
– Secure Administration and Faster Reporting — The dedicated workstations provide a secure, HIPAA-compliant environment for volunteers to handle sensitive medical data, enabling first responders to file call reports faster and spend more time focused on saving lives.
The technology also will support the squad’s two classrooms as it expands opportunities for community-based training.
