Volunteers are being sought for the Bassett Community Center Family Fall Festival, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30.

“Our group is working extremely hard to re-open the Bassett Community Center as it was an iconic recreational facility in all of Henry County at one time,” organizers said. The festival “is both a fundraiser and an awareness event. There is little of this type of entertainment for the family on this side of the county and beyond.”

The festival will feature food, games, live music and more, as well as food and other vendors, and a cornhole tournament, register for $10 per team.

Musical performances will also be included, with a Willie Nelson Tribute Concert by Jimmy Wilson from 3 to 4 p.m., and again from 4 to 5 p.m. as well as a concert by the Southern Gentleman Bluegrass Band from 1 to 2 p.m.

Tickets for concerts are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.

The festival will be held at 119 Blackberry Road, Bassett.

For more information, call (276) 629-6748.

Sign up to volunteer and stay up to date with the happenings on the Save the Bassett Community Center’s Facebook page.
