Uptown Partnership has announced an organizational transition following the departure of Executive Director Spencer Koger.
The organization did not provide details about Koger’s departure or indicate who will lead the organization during the transition.
In a statement, the Uptown Partnership Board of Directors said the organization will continue its work with Uptown businesses, volunteers and community partners.
The board said its priorities in the coming months will include reconnecting with Uptown businesses, expanding its volunteer base and strengthening relationships with community partners.
The organization also pointed to recent development in the Uptown District, including new businesses and residential development underway at 1 Ellsworth and 51 Lester Apartments.
Uptown Partnership serves as Martinsville’s Virginia Main Street organization.
