Area students among JMU’s incoming Class of 2030
Local students are among the incoming Class of 2030 at James Madison University, which is welcoming students from across the United States and around the world. Local students include:
Journey Porter of Martinsville has enrolled at James Madison University and plans to major in Biology – BS.
Gabrielle Fountain of Axton has enrolled at James Madison University and plans to major in Economics – BA.
Nathan Davis of Martinsville has enrolled at James Madison University and plans to major in English – BA.
Lucas Soqui of Martinsville has enrolled at James Madison University and plans to major in Exploratory.
Bryson Mosley of Martinsville has enrolled at James Madison University and plans to major in History – BA.
Lillie Sapp of Martinsville has enrolled at James Madison University and plans to major in Kinesiology – BS.
Lexus Owen of Bassett has enrolled at James Madison University and plans to major in Psychology – BA.
The incoming class includes students from 40 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and 20 countries and territories outside the United States.
JMU welcomes local transfer students
James Madison University welcomed new transfer students to campus for the fall 2026 semester:
Rachel Hairston of Martinsville plans to major in Media Arts and Design – BS.
Juan Soto Raygoza of Axton plans to major in Accounting – BBA.
Dylan Johnston of Martinsville plans to major in History – BA.
The incoming transfers represent an accomplished, diverse group of individuals who hail from 21 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and three countries.
