The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research is holding a holiday tree raffle for this fully decorated designer tree contributed by sponsor Commonwealth Home Health Care. All proceeds from the $10 raffle tickets will benefit the United Way.

The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR) will hold a holiday tree raffle to award one randomly selected drawing winner with a fully decorated designer tree for the holidays. All proceeds from raffle ticket sales will benefit the United Way.

A “Christmas Lodge” themed tree with a retail value of $1,400 will be available to win in one of two sizes, 9 or 7.5 feet. The tree was contributed and fully decorated by sponsor Commonwealth Home Health Care. Décor includes wild birds, snowy pine and hand-picked ornaments with a color palette conducive to most any home.

Through Dec. 16, raffle tickets are available for $10 each online at https://bit.ly/tree-raffle. They also may be purchased at Commonwealth Home Health Care (479 Piney Forest Road, Danville) and at the United Way of Danville-Pittsylvania County (308 Craghead St. #104, Danville).

The ticket drawing will be held Dec. 16 at 4 p.m. in IALR’s Atrium, and the winner need not be present to win. Representatives from Commonwealth Home Health Care and United Way of Danville – Pittsylvania County will participate in the drawing selection. The winner may pick up the tree by 5 p.m. Dec. 18.

The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research serves Virginia as a regional catalyst for economic transformation with applied research, advanced learning, advanced manufacturing, conference center services and economic development efforts. The Institute’s major footprint focuses within Southern Virginia, including the counties of Patrick, Henry, Franklin, Pittsylvania, Halifax and Mecklenburg along with the cities of Martinsville and Danville.
