Animal advocacy seminars to be held

Alley Cat Allies will be hosting informational seminars in Chatham Feb. 27
and Feb. 29. Alley Cat Allies works in communities to champion low-cost spay and neuter policies and programs, as well as lifesaving Trap-Neuter-Return and Shelter-Neuter-Return programs. These sessions are pertinent to animal lovers or community advocates who come in contact with large numbers of feral cats, such as the one near the Clock Tower on Franklin Street in Martinsville, but don’t know how to get involved. The seminars are sponsored by the Pittsylvania Pet Center and will provide similar information on both nights. The seminar for Feb. 27 will take place from 6-8 p.m., at the Reid Street Alley Cat Allies logo Gallery and the seminar for Feb. 29 will take place from 10 a.m. until noon at the Gallery Room in the Chatham Community Center.
