
The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation is seeking public input in the virtual Master Plan Public Comment Meeting for Virginia’s future Mayo River State Park.
This plan will help guide the park’s management and development and identify its natural, cultural and physical resources.
During the meeting, representatives from DCR, Virginia State Parks and Kimley-Horn: Engineering Planning and Design Consultants will present updates, discuss potential developments and gather public input on future park facilities, trails, visitor experiences and environmental stewardship.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, March 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Teams. Those interested in attending can join by clicking on the Teams link found at https://www.dcr.virginia.gov/recreational-planning/mr-masterplan.
The Spencer-Penn Centre located at 475 Spencer Penn Rd, Spencer, VA 24165, will live stream the public comment meeting for the community. To attend the live stream event, please register by calling 276-957-5757.
