BASSETT, VA – A head-on crash in Bassett killed two women and injured one other, according to Virginia State Police Sergeant Dennis McBride.
The deadly crash happened on Blackberry Road near Foley Drive around 4:45 p.m. Sunday.
McBride told BTW21 News 22-year-old Kateland McKinney and 54-year-old Denise Cabrera-Cruz were the drivers and died as a result of the crash.
Both women were from the Bassett community.
