The Patrick County School Board received an update on enrollment for the Healthy Kids after-school program at its July 14 meeting and approved updates to the fiscal year 2027 budget.
The budget update followed the General Assembly’s recent passage of its budget.
Superintendent Dr. Jason Wood said the $87,288 requested from the county represents the locality’s required local effort/required local match.
“With this new calculation tool, it is an increase that the county will have to give us,” he said.
The board also learned that enrollment is underway for Healthy Kids, a New York-based company that provides affordable after-school and summer child care programs.
