Ridgeway man charged in connection with break-in

A man from Ridgeway was charged Jan. 1 with two counts grand larceny in connection with an alleged break-in at a storage facility, according to a release from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities responded to Keepsake Storage, 3395 Greensboro Road, Martinsville, to a call of a  break-in in progress.

One man was detained inside the storage facility compound without incident, according to authorities, who identified the man as Bradley Franklin Ferguson, 40, of 573 Old Mill Road, Ridgeway.

Through further investigation, a search warrant was executed at 2034 Rives Road., Martinsville, where numerous items of evidence were recovered, according to the release. The items were associated with multiple other break-ins and grand larceny cases in the Greensboro Road area of Henry County, according to the release.

In addition to grand larceny, Ferguson also was charged with one count each breaking and entering and possess burglary tools.

He is currently being held in the Henry County Jail without bond.

Direct indictments are anticipated on associated cases at a later date, according to the release.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at (276) 638-8751 or the Crimestoppers Program at 63- CRIME (632-7463). The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards up to $2,500 for information related to crime. The nature of the crime and the substance of the information determine the amount of reward paid.
