Animal lovers looking for a sidekick may consider adopting Ethel, an 8-year-old female mixed breed terrier.
She was brought to the Martinsville-Henry County SPCA as a stray, and this 42-pound makes for the perfect lounging partner, according to Leigh Ann Minnick, an animal care technician.
“She’s a couch potato. She just really wants somebody to cuddle with,” Minnick said. “She’s food motivated. She likes treats. She likes to go on walks but she’s also down to just chill and nap with you. She does get spurts of energy where she likes to play still, but for the most part, she’s just your average old lady.”
Minnick said that Ethel is good with other pets as well, making her the perfect addition for those who already have other animals in the home.
