Patrick County Public Schools ranked ninth among Virginia school divisions in Standards of Learning performance, marking the fifth consecutive year the division has ranked among the state’s top 10.
Superintendent Dr. Jason Wood credited the division’s teachers, staff, students and families for the continued performance.
“It’s a combination of outstanding teachers, but also the care and support that any of our staff members give them from the warm smile from the bus driver and a cafeteria employee to the custodian checking in on everyone. Definitely the relationships that our staff members bring and build with our students is one of the keys to our success,” he said.
