The Danville (VA) Chapter of The Links, Inc., presented a donation to Sovah Health during a May 22 ceremony in Martinsville.
The donation, amount undisclosed, is earmarked to be used for additional protective equipment.
The funds were given to express appreciation for the services provided by Sovah Health Frontline Healthcare Workers to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I want to salute and thank our heroes–healthcare workers,” Links member and Martinsville resident Imogene Draper said at the presentation. “We couldn’t be here without you. You are definitely the center for healthcare here in Martinsville-Henry County.”
Five members of the chapter were present at the ceremony in Martinsville, while another 10 attended a ceremony held at the main Sovah branch in Danville.
