
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office conducted a narcotics-related search warrant at 351 Pine Street located in Henry County on January 13, 2026. Upon execution of the warrant, four people were detained at the home.
Henry County Sheriff’s investigators with the Special Investigations Unit conducted a search of the residence and allegedly found several firearms along with suspected narcotics including methamphetamine, fentanyl, and marijuana.
During the execution of the warrant, investigators also observed several puppies confined within a small crate. The crate contained feces and the puppies had fleas. The animals appeared lethargic and were found in an area filled with trash clutter and urine.
Henry County Animal Services responded to the scene and the animals were removed from the home. Charges will be sought for inadequate care and for animals running at large, according to a release from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
Three people were arrested in connection with the incident.
• Patrick Kevin Baker, 61, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, and possession of a firearm while in possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. He was released on $2,500 secured bond
• April Lynn Kump, 39, was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. Bond was set at $1,000 secured.
• Tommy Lee Bowers Jr., 50, was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a firearm while in possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. He is being held with no bond.
The investigation remains ongoing. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
