A single vehicle crash resulted in the death of a Martinsville man, according to a release from the Virginia State Police.
The crash occurred Friday, Aug. 21 at 12:47 a.m. on Virginia 751, just south of October Way in Henry County.
A 2017 GMC Yukon was traveling north on Virginia 751, when the vehicle allegedly ran off the right side of the roadway at a high rate of speed, struck an embankment and overturned several times; ejecting the driver, according to the release.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Roger Antoine Gravely, 38, of Martinsville.
Gravely, who was not wearing his seatbelt, was transported to SOVAH Health of Martinsville, where he later died of his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by Virginia State Police Trooper E.W.L. Dillard, the release stated.
