Man held with no bond in connection with alleged shooting incident

A Martinsville man is being held with no bond in connection with an alleged Sept. 13 shooting incident, according to a release form the Martinsville police Department.

Nyzah Antonio Bradley, 18, of Village Street, Martinsville, turned himself in to authorities Sept. 15. He is being held with no bail on charges of maliciously shoot at an occupied motor vehicle, discharge a firearm in city limits, malicious wounding, use a firearm in commission of a felony, and reckless handling of a firearm, according to a release.

Authorities said that on September 13 at about 4:45 p.m., a firearm was discharged in the direction of a blue, Chevrolet Camaro. The driver of the Camaro was struck by one round in the leg and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at SOVAH Health in Martinsville. The person then was released, authorities said.

The incident remains under investigation.
