Linda Osborne Wormald

Linda Osborne Wormald, 78, of Martinsville, Va. passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.  She was born in Climax, Va. August 22, 1944, to the late Carl Hopkins Osborne and Mary H. Kanode.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie C. Osborne and stepson, Michael S. Wormald.

She is survived by her husband, Paul A. Wormald; son, Michael Elliott Doyle (Olga); grandsons, Michael Doyle, Jr. and Alexander Doyle; sisters, Rebecca O. Adkins and Lynn O. McGhee; stepbrother, Kermit L. Kanode; stepsisters Barbara K. Durbin and Bonnie K. Drake; and stepsons, Gary L. Wormald and Jeffrey A. Wormald.

Linda was a 1962 graduate of Drewry Mason High School. She did clerical work in numerous companies and businesses in Martinsville and Henry County.  She retired from Warren Trucking Company in Ridgeway, Va.

She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed reading, home decorating and gardening.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, February 13, 2023, at Mountain View Cemetery and will be officiated by Reverend Doug Ramsey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Bassett, P.O. Box 557, Bassett, Va. 24055.

McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Martinsville, Va. is serving the family.
