Kermit W. Allen, 87, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born April 20, 1933 in Endicott, Virginia, to the late Harvey Allen and the late Martha Allen Quinn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Lessie Quinn and Abby Coleman; and brothers, Otha Quinn, Grover Allen and Ed Allen.

He proudly served in the United States Army, and had been employed at American of Martinsville Furniture Company for 45 years.  He was a member of Collinsville Pentecostal Holiness Church; loved sports and spending time with his granddaughter.

Kermit is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Hendricks Allen; sons, Bruce Allen and Tim Allen (Laurianne); granddaughter, Amelia Allen; sisters, Frankie Tilley and Sarah Hambrick; and other family members.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 15, 2020, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. A graveside service will be Monday, November 16, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Burial Park.
