The Martinsville/Henry County Veterans Service Organization, (M/HC VSO), will be having a Veterans Appreciation Picnic at Jack Dalton Park on Saturday, October 18, from 10 am. to 2 pm. All veterans and their families are invited. There will be free food and drinks and lots of information on the various veteran organizations in Martinsville and Henry County.
In addition, the American Legion Homer Dillard Post # 78 will have its annual Veterans Day Banquet on Saturday, November 8, at 5 pm. at the New College Institute, (NCI), on Fayette Street, in Martinsville.
