HENRY COUNTY, VA – On Monday night, a fire was reported at the Department of Corrections in Henry County.
Firefighters were called to the Patrick Henry Correctional Unit 28 on A.L. Philpott Highway at 10:31 p.m. for the fire.
Horsepasture Fire Chief William Martin told BTW21 News there was a fire in the laundry room of the prison that was put out by crews.
The Fire Chief said only a load of clothes was burned during the incident.
