The Virginia State Police are investigating a vehicle verses a pedestrian crash, which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred Saturday, July 26, at 12:05 a.m. on Virginia Avenue, at the intersection of Dyer Street in Henry County.
A 2006 Hyundai Tucson was traveling north on Virginia Avenue, when the vehicle struck a pedestrian which was walking in the northbound lane.
Amber Michelle Hodges, 34, was transported to SOVAH Health in Martinsville, where she later died.
No charges are pending.
