Henry County Public Schools announced that Ms. Katie Elliott will serve as Assistant Principal of Bassett High School beginning in July 2026. Ms. Elliott brings a strong foundation in teaching and school leadership, along with a clear commitment to student success and continuous improvement.
Her experience spans both the classroom and administration, providing her with a well-rounded perspective on supporting students, staff, and school operations. She began her career with Henry County Public Schools in 2011, serving as a substitute teacher and PALS Tutor before joining George Washington Carver Elementary School as a classroom teacher, where she taught for over a decade.
She currently serves as Assistant Principal at Stuart Elementary School in Patrick County, a role she has held since January 2024. Ms. Elliott is a thoughtful and student-centered leader who understands the importance of strong relationships and a positive school culture. She is well prepared to support the continued success of Bassett High School and to contribute meaningfully to its ongoing growth.
