
Crystal Dixon will assume the role of principal of GWCES effective July, 2026.
She brings a strong background in elementary education and instructional leadership, along with a proven track record of supporting student achievement and school improvement, a release from Henry County Public Schools stated.
Dixon has served as principal of Rich Acres Elementary School for the past five years, where she has led with a focus on strengthening instruction, building staff capacity, and creating a positive, student-centered school environment.
“Ms. Dixon is an experienced and effective school leader who understands the importance of strong instruction, meaningful relationships, and a clear focus on student outcomes,” Schools Superintendent Amy Blake-Lewis said. “I am confident she will continue to build on the strong foundation at George Washington Carver Elementary.”
“I’m honored to serve as the new principal of George Washington Carver Elementary. I look forward to working with our students, staff, families, and the community to support every student’s success, growth, and well-being, and continue the tradition of excellence for our Trojan community,” Dixon said.
School officials noted the school division “remains committed to ensuring that every school is led by a principal who is equipped to meet the needs of its students and staff. Ms. Dixon’s appointment reflects a thoughtful and strategic decision to support continued growth at George Washington Carver Elementary School.”
