The Virginia State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash, which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred Saturday, May 30 at 6:40 p.m. on Chatham Road, one tenth a mile east of Rob Lee Drive in Henry County.
A 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling east on Chatham Road, when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck the guardrail and overturned.
The 19-year-old driver of the Jeep, Jason Gage Pendleton, of Collinsville, Va., was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
