BRRL (Martinsville Branch): Come by the Martinsville Library for our monthly Board Game Day. Bring your friends and your favorite games or try out one of the games the library has on hand. Our Board Game Day will be held the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is free and open to the public so come join the fun. PHCC Dalton IDEA Center: Join us for a fun, hands-on activity for the entire family in the Fab Lab. Martinsville-Henry County Historical Society: Join us in celebrating the founding of Henry County in 1778. This year we will be focusing on all of the furniture industry that played an important role in Henry County’s economy in the 20th century. Henry County Bike Club: Join the Henry County Bike Club for a weekly, evening ride along the many gorgeous trails of the Smith River Trail System. Thursday Trail Trekkers: This group, co-sponsored by Henry County Parks & Recreation and the Dan River Basin Association, will meet on Thursdays at 1 p.m., to explore a different trail every week. Weather permitting, we will meet at designated locations throughout the county, and sometimes in nearby parts of neighboring counties for hikes. All the trails selected will be moderate in length and difficulty and senior-friendly, but there is no minimum age requirement. Henry County Bike Club: Ride ‘N Dine every Friday afternoon with members of the Henry County Bike Club. Each week fellow cyclists meet at the Liberty Street access point of the Dick & Willie Trail to put in some miles and to refuel with a delicious lunch at a local eatery. A different lunch locality is chosen each week so that your Friday afternoon is always unique and interesting.
