Cathy Dalton Kiefer, 62, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial.  She was born November 19, 1958, in Henry County to the late Joanne Pendleton Dalton and James Dalton.  One of her favorite jobs was at Burger King where she worked for over ten years.  After that she began working at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County in the Mail Room and then moved on to the Business Office.  Cathy had many things she enjoyed including the beach, motorcycles, hot rod cars, Kid Rock concerts and peach flowers. She also loved her grandbabies.

Cathy is survived by her husband Edward Ernest “Ed” Kiefer; daughter, Amy Nicole van Rijsewijk (Aaron);  step-son William E. “Billy” Kiefer (Cheryl) ;step daughter, Virginia Jean “Ginger” Kiefer;  sister, Cindy Dalton; brother, James Dalton; grandchildren, Raechel Kiefer, Rebekah Schumaker (Landon) and Linkin van Rijsewijk; and great grandchild, Claire Judith Schumaker.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at 11:00 A. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with James Edwards and Glenn Dennis officiating. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park.  Visitation will be Wednesday, May 5, 2021, from 6-7:30 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
