(Bill) Kenneth Moles, 86, died peacefully Wednesday, September 7, 2022, in his Roanoke home surrounded by his wife and three children. He faced life-long physical challenges from strokes, with unwavering courage and inner strength. Bill never wanted to dwell on what he couldn’t do, only on what he could do. “Think of the possibilities, never give up, don’t worry—be happy” were some of his favorite sayings.

He and his wife Linda and their children moved to Martinsville in 1964, where he began his 25-year career as a supervisor for Dupont.

Bill is survived by his high school sweetheart and devoted wife of 65 years, Linda S. Moles; son, Kerry and daughter-in-law, Kim; son, Brad and daughter-in-law, Murphy; daughter, Susan Kraughto; his beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Emily, Hannah Nunley and Sawyer; sister, Annette Harvey; brother-in-law, Hank Smith; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Pat Smith and Carolyn and Bob Johnson; and long-time friends, Erlys and Jerry Ploeger. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Virginia S. and William G. Moles.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel at 1:30pm on Saturday, September 10, 2022, with Pastor Bob Smith officiating. Reception will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s memory to Carilion Clinic Hospice, 1615 Franklin Road SW, Roanoke, VA 24016, to his church, First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 2101 Jefferson Street SW, Roanoke, VA 24014, or to a charity of choice.

Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville, VA is serving the Moles family. Online condolences may be made at norrisfuneral.com.
