My Vietnam Story and Service in the United States Marines

On Tuesday, March 24, author Donald Jack Wright will be at the Bassett Historical Center at 10 a.m. presenting a program on his new book entitled “My Vietnam Story and Service in the United States Marines.” Donald Jack Wright, a Vietnam War veteran awarded with the Purple Heart by the Department of Veterans Affairs, shares a stirring autobiography of his life as a soldier servicing in the Vietnam War. This account of one man’s experiences and accomplishments during the Vietnam War details many battles, conflicts, missions, and patrols during a 13 month period of 1968 and 1969 at a time when the Vietnam conflict was in full scale force. This book exudes willpower, courage, and faith in times of conflict that truly are a soldier’s resolve. This program will be held in the Susan L. Adkins Memorial Meeting Room. It is free and open to the public.
