The Henry County School Board approved a recommendation to fill two administrative positions at their July 9 meeting.
Crystal Dixon will be assistant principal at Fieldale-Collinsville Middle School.
Hope Perry, who currently serves as assistant principal at FC Middle School, will be principal at Fieldale-Collinsville Middle School.
Dixon, who currently serves as assistant principal of Meadow View Elementary School, has served students in HCPS as an administrator, instructional coach, and teacher.
“I am excited and honored at the opportunity to join the Fieldale-Collinsville family. I look forward to collaborating with students, staff, and families and building on the strengths that have been established. While nurturing the relationships I’ve already formed with former students, I am eager to create and build new relationships within the community,” she said.
Perry has served students in HCPS as an administrator, curriculum coordinator, and teacher.
“I am sincerely humbled and honored to be given this opportunity to move forward with the faculty, staff, students, and families at Fieldale-Collinsville Middle School,” Perry said.
“In this very unique and exciting time in education, I am excited to encourage and empower teachers to meet their students where they are academically. I am also thrilled to motivate our awesome students to work harder than ever before to continue their paths upward and onward,” she added.
The appointments were approved by the School Board after reconvening from closed session.
“The enthusiasm and instructional leadership that Mrs. Perry and Mrs. Dixon bring to their roles will continue to propel FCMS students to exceed their learning goals. Their dedication to student success will ensure that the Cavalier family continues to flourish in unexpected ways,” Schools Superintendent Sandy Strayer said.
