After an extensive search, Bethany Harrison, Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Lynchburg, has agreed to serve as Special Prosecutor for both the criminal investigation and pending civil removal petition in the City of Martinsville, according to a release from the city’s Commonwealth Attorney Patrick Flinn.
“The court granted my renewed motion to withdraw and has appointed her as Special Prosecutor for both matters,” Flinn wrote in a release, and added that because “these matters are now in the hands of a Special Prosecutor, I will not provide further comment beyond this release.”
