Henry County Parks and Recreation will continue the summer tradition designed to bring families together for fun, free entertainment in a safe and welcoming outdoor setting with its Movies in the Park series.
The series gets underway on Friday, June 20, with a showing of “Inside Out 2” at Jack Dalton Park. The event is free to attend. Music and games will begin at 7:30 p.m., and the movie will begin at 8:50 p.m.
Other movies scheduled include “Wicked,” on July 18 and “Despicable Me 4” on August 22.
Each movie night will include pre-show activities, family-friendly vendors, and plenty of open lawn space for blankets and chairs. Concessions will be available on-site.
“Providing events like Movies in the Park is part of our core mission—to promote community involvement, offer recreational opportunities for all ages, and make great use of our public spaces,” said Roger Adams, director of Henry County Parks and Recreation. “It’s a fun way for families to enjoy the parks and spend time together.”
Participants are encouraged to bring their own seating and arrive early for the best spots. In the event of rain, updates or postponements will be shared on the Henry County Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
