The Maintenance Workshop for the Garden Club of Virginia’s Historic Restoration Sites, of which there are 41, was held Wednesday at the Kent-Valentine House in Richmond. The Martinsville-Henry County Historical Society was gifted an historic restoration in 2012 for the Plaza of the Historic Henry County Courthouse. There is a lot involved in caring for a GCV Restoration Site, and managers of those sites attend maintenance workshops every two years.
