Two men, information sought in connection with alleged robbery

Investigators with the Martinsville Police Department are seeking information about an alleged incident that occurred around midnight on March 5, according to a release.

Officers responded to the Neighborhood Market, located at 701 N. Memorial Blvd., Martinsville, to an alleged robbery, the release stated.

Two black men with a firearm, wearing dark clothing and masks, allegedly approached the store employee as he was closing for the night and demanded money, according to the release. The two men then allegedly fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators responded and processed the scene for evidence.

Anyone with information about the alleged incident is asked to call Martinsville Police Sgt. Durham at (276) 403-5330 or Crimestoppers at (276) 632-7463. Rewards of up to $2,500 are available for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
