A single vehicle crash resulted in the death of a Ridgeway resident, according to a release from the Virginia State Police.
Sarah Cecelia Ferguson Taylor, 78, of Ridgeway, was pronounced dead at the scene of the Dec. 14 incident.
The crash occurred at 9:35 a.m. on Virginia 687, one tenth of a mile north of Route 641 in Henry County.
A 2008 Toyota Highlander was traveling south on Route 687, when the vehicle crossed the center line, ran off the left side of the roadway, striking a large boulder and a tree.

The crash remains under investigation by Virginia State Police R.S. Lawson.
