This four-pound, domestic shorthair feline is named Mango.
Mango has been at the shelter since June, according to Catherine Gupton, director of operations at the SPCA. She said he was one of the 21 adult cats and kittens that needed to be removed from a local unfit home.
Gupton said the situation was fairly bad for the animals and Mango has recuperated nicely with “a regiment of cuddles and food.”
Now, about five months old, Mango is “pretty darn healthy,” Gupton said. “It took a little while to get him healthy but ever since, he’s been great. He’s very lazy. His preferred day is napping and eating.”
With the rest of the 21 cats and kittens already adopted, Mango is hoping to be the final one to be scooped up by an owner.
The price of adoption for cats and kittens is $20.
