The Martinsville–Henry County Family YMCA will host the Miles in Martinsville Half Marathon and 5K on Saturday, May 2, welcoming runners and walkers from across the region for a morning of fitness, community, and friendly competition.
Participants can choose between the Half Marathon (13.1 miles) or the 5K (3.1 miles), with courses designed to showcase the Martinsville community while encouraging healthy and active lifestyles. The event will also feature the ALL VETS 5K Ruck, where participants can complete the 5K course carrying a 25-pound ruck, with awards and support provided by ALL VETS.
All Half Marathon finishers will receive an official finisher medal, and all half marathon participants will receive an official long-sleeve tech fabric unisex race shirt. 5K participants will receive an official short-sleeve tech fabric unisex race shirt.
Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers in each race. Additional age group awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each five-year age division for both races.
The event relies on strong community support and volunteers to help make race day a success. Local organizations are encouraged to get involved by volunteering at water stops and assisting along the course. Online registration is open now and will close at midnight on April 29, 2026. Participants are encouraged to register early to secure their spot.
