Kerielea Vestal Byrd born of Burbank California on November 30, 1961, joined her Angel Family and was carried home to heaven on January 28, 2023, at 61 years young. After an inspiring fight with breast cancer, Kerielea passed surrounded by countless loved ones by her side at one of her favorite places on earth, The Valley, Woolwine Va. Anyone that met Kerielea couldn’t help but notice the way she embodied hope. Her lifelong memoir was to BE POSITIVE. She strived in every way to be a shining bright light for all she came in contact with. She preached hope and kindness daily while wearing one of her many hats as Periodantal Surgical assistant for Dr. John R. Wheeless, traveler, entertainer, festival goer, dog lover, bee keeper, Gardener, chef, horse rider, water-skier, entrepreneur, but most importantly a Mother. Her care for others was unmatched. She spent her days waking up and talking to her angels daily to gain strength to carry on such a beautiful legacy of pure LOVE. Her lessons will carry through the lives of so many. Kerielea was one of the great ones.
She is survived by her parents Jack and Diane Vestal of Stuart, VA, Husband Anthony Edwin Byrd of Woolwine, VA, Brother Thomas Allen Vestal (Sandra Vestal) of Cary, NC, Daughter Emmye Myers Coder (Dr. Andrew Coder) of Danville, VA, Son John-Thomas Monroe Myers of Martinsville, VA, Niece Laurenn Aleen Vestal and Nephew Jace Allen Vestal, Father of their children, John Frederick Myers of Martinsville, VA, as well as so many more of her chosen family members from along the way.
