Henry Earl Hopkins, 72, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Monday, August 22, 2022, at his residence. He was born January 12, 1950, in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina to the late Henry Thomas “Joe” Hopkins and Mary Elizabeth Trent Reese. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed boating, classic cars and working outside.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Henry Wayne Hopkins; and brother, Milton Ray Hopkins.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Dodson Hopkins; daughters, Chelsea Hopkins Moore (Matt), Tori Davis (Louis), Kimberly Burden (Lonnie) and Angela Nelson; sisters, Patricia Dowers (Les) and Jane Holbrook (Richard); grandchildren, Wesley Moore, Cooper Davis and Michael Nelson; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 2:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will be private.
