Elva Turner Wilshire, 91, of Dunn, NC passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Betsy Johnson Hospital. She was born on October 25, 1929, in Patrick County, VA to the late Grenville “Conway” Turner and Dovie Morrison Turner. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-six years, Paul Frederick Wilshire.
Mrs. Wilshire was a member of Westfield Baptist Church in Dunn, NC. She was a graduate of Bassett High School and Perry Business College. She was a retiree of E.I. DuPont in Martinsville, VA.
She is survived by her children, Kay Jones, Paige Gregory, Catherine Brilla, Sharon Wilshire-Eshelmen, Debra Wilshire Blankenship; grandchildren, Jerri Lynn, Greg, Corey, Ryland, Joshua, Larisa, Jeremiah, Lucas, Logan, Justin, and Summer; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Emily, Peyton, Lauren, Ryder, Lavender, Elijah, Abigail, Emerson, Jackson, Claire, Lillian, and Maya.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Norris Funeral Services. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Burial Park with Minister Lee Ashley officiating. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park.
