FRANKLIN COUNTY, VA – A Franklin County deputy was arrested by the Rocky Mount Police Department for driving while under the influence of alcohol over the weekend.
According to court records from the Franklin County General District Court, Deputy McKenzie Dylan Smith was arrested during the early morning hours on Saturday.
Court records show that Smith was released on recognizance and was charged with misdemeanor DWI with a blood alcohol content between 0.15% and 0.2%.
