Pocahontas Bassett Baptist Church: Musicians and music lovers are invited to the Pickers and Fiddlers Bluegrass Gospel and Mountain Music Songfest at Pocahontas Bassett Baptist Church. This event is held the second Saturday of each month. If you play the guitar, banjo or mandolin, we want you! Henry County Bike Club: Join the Henry County Bike Club for a weekly, evening ride along the many gorgeous trails of the Smith River Trail System. Mountain bikes are recommended but road bikes can be used as well. The Wednesday evening ride offers bikers the opportunity to ride either road, trail or both. Thursday Trail Trekkers: This group, co-sponsored by Henry County Parks & Recreation and the Dan River Basin Association, will meet on Thursdays to explore a different trail every week. Weather permitting, we will meet at designated locations throughout the county, and sometimes in nearby parts of neighboring counties for hikes. All the trails selected will be moderate in length and difficulty and senior-friendly, but there is no minimum age requirement.
