MARTINSVILLE, VA – 28 local students were awarded scholarships by the ladies in pink recently.
The Charity League of Martinsville and Henry County gave area high school graduates and college students each a $1,000 scholarship during a drive-thru ceremony hosted outside their warehouse.
The League, established in 1931, says it strives to promote growth and development of children throughout Martinsville and Henry County through education and health programs.
