Johnsey Franklin Reynolds, 86, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Monday, June 15, 2020, at his residence. He was born April 9, 1934 in Critz, Virginia to the late Benjamin and Nannie Penn Reynolds. He was an ordained Minister for thirty plus years. He was a member of Shiloh Missonary Baptist Church and a member of the Smith River Baptist Association. He enjoyed hunting rabbit and squirrel and loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Tishie Pilson Reynolds; daughter, Lavene Reynolds; and brother, Delano Reynolds.
Mr. Reynolds is survived by his daughter, Viola Reynolds-Chaney (John); son Johnsey Reynolds (Susan); sisters, Inez Reynolds, Jennie Reynolds, Goldie Reynolds, and Mary Randolph; brothers, Robert Reynolds (Elsie), Otis Reynolds, Jesse Reynolds (Mae), Samson Reynolds (Shirley), and Wayne Reynolds; grandchildren, Torrey Weeks, Johann Wooden, Johniece Reynolds; and great-grandchildren, Zoe Wooden and Jonas Wooden.
The funeral will be Friday, June 19, 2020, at 10:30 A. M., at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Junior Wimbush officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Nebo Holiness Church, Patrick Springs, Virginia.
