The Meadows of Dan Community Association is inviting everyone to come out for the 22nd annual Folk Fair — a day filled with music, food, local vendors, old-fashioned traditions and plenty of things to see and do.
On the way in, stop by the Welcome Tent to check out this year’s Folk Fair shirts, featuring the event’s new little hillbilly mascot.
The day will get started with local group the Greenview Graybacks, headed by Nathan Helms, followed by another local favorite, the Country Boys.
After the music, things will slow down a bit for “Colorful Characters Remembered,” a time to listen to — or share — stories about some of the colorful people who have made Meadows of Dan what it is.
Organizers are especially looking forward to hearing stories about local people who have passed away, whether they were longtime friends, neighbors or simply characters who left a lasting impression.
For questions or vendor inquiries, call Trinity Goad at 540-230-7943.
