Complete Care & Wellness celebrated its ribbon-cutting Aug. 5 in Martinsville, marking the opening of a new clinic focused on wellness and affordable care.
The clinic is owned by Dr. Edythe Boitnott, who has practiced in Virginia as a clinical provider since 2003. She said she opened her own clinic to “focus on true wellness” and address root causes “rather than simply managing symptoms.”
Boitnott said her services focus on hormone balance, improved energy, weight loss and overall vitality. She said she has helped patients identify and treat vitamin, nutritional and hormonal deficiencies while promoting sustainable daily habits.
“I’m just here to help the community with hormone therapy and weight loss,” Boitnott said. She has been part of the community since 1993.
Boitnott said her goal is to provide patients with an affordable place to receive care.
“I’m here to help the community. I’m just really excited to be here, and (for) the next chapter of my life. Thank you so much for everything everybody’s done for me.”
The business was a recipient of a $3,500 grant, partially funded through the Tobacco Region, from the Start-up MHC Program, part of the Martinsville-Henry County Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber Partnership for Economic Growth.
Martinsville-Henry County Chamber of Commerce President and Executive Director Brenell Thomas said she was excited to see another health care facility open.
“This one is all about healthcare. And you know, we can’t have enough healthcare options in Martinsville, Henry County, and that’s not to be a discredit to the ones that we have. But, you know, we have such different needs. And I think when you talk to Edith, you’ll find out that her niche is about holistic care. So she’s doing a little bit of everything from a wellness standpoint, and she’s worth giving a try. Complete Care & Wellness is located at 904 Brookdale St. in Martinsville.
