Henry County Parks & Recreation has launched its 2026 Movies in the Park series at Jack Dalton Park.
The free summer series features family-friendly activities beginning at 7 p.m., including bingo, music and games, followed by a movie at approximately 8:45 p.m.
Movies are scheduled for:
• July 24 — “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie”
• Aug. 21 — “The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants”
Admission is free. Concessions, including drinks, popcorn and candy, will be available for purchase.
Parks and Recreation Director Roger Adams said the series offers residents an opportunity to spend time together while enjoying outdoor entertainment.
“Movies in the Park is one of those events that brings people together in a simple and meaningful way,” Adams said. “Families can spend time outdoors, children can play and participate in activities, and neighbors can enjoy an evening together. These community gatherings help strengthen connections and create lasting memories for residents of all ages.”
The series is part of the department’s efforts to provide affordable recreational opportunities and encourage greater use of local parks and amenities.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
