Pictured from left to right: Leonard P. Hairston – Navy. He died on Apr. 14, 2024 at the age of 101. John R. Redd, Army – Pacific Theater. He died on Jan. 23, 2026 at the age of 100. John L. McCain -Army – European Theater. He died on Apr. 27, 2026 at the age of 99. He served in Germany, arriving there 8 months before the war ended, and remained as part of the occupation forces for another 18 months.
