Katie Wall Interviews Taylor Moore (7th Grade)
Katie Wall, SCA vice-president and 7th grade homeroom reporter spoke with 7th grader Taylor Moore about her experience in the school production of Frozen.
Taylor shared that she played multiple roles, including a ballroom participant, a townsperson, and an icicle.
When asked about her favorite part of being in the play, Taylor said it was the people. The most challenging part, she explained, was quick costume changes (dressing time). Rehearsals were a big commitment, taking place every day from 3:45 to 6:30.
Taylor recalled several funny and memorable moments during rehearsals, including when Olaf’s arm fell off!
When asked how she felt performing, Taylor said she wasn’t too nervous and felt comfortable performing in front of an audience because she was used to it.
During the performance, there were a few unexpected challenges—the projector turned off at one point—but the cast kept going.
Taylor said she learned an important lesson from being in the play: “Just keep going.”
She would definitely like to perform again in the future because it’s fun, and she shared that Jordan Foster encouraged her the most during the experience.
If she could choose any role, Taylor said she would play middle-aged Anna because it is simpler. Her favorite song from the play is “Love is an Open Door.”
Her advice to other students interested in acting? Practice and don’t be afraid to try.
