Axton men make bond after narcotics, firearms charges

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, in conjunction with the Patrol and VICE divisions, executed a narcotics search warrant on August 13 at 7064 Axton Road, Axton. Two people were inside the home when the warrant was executed, and multiple people were located outside the residence, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

During the search, investigators recovered a significant quantity of suspected marijuana, suspected cocaine, two illegally possessed firearms, a large amount of U.S. currency, and various items consistent with the distribution of narcotics.

Two people were charged in connection with the investigation, the release stated.

Marvin Jarvis Dalton, 43, of the home, was charged with distribution of 5 lbs. or more of marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.

Dalton was transported to the Henry County Adult Detention Center and held on a $10,000 secured bond. He has since been released on bond.

Rico Ny’Terious Dalton, 24, also of the home, was charged with distribution of 5 lbs. or more of marijuana, possession of cocaine and possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance. 

He was transported to the Henry County Adult Detention Center and held on a $5,000 secured bond. He has since been released on bond.
