Piedmont Community Services will host the 5th Annual National Recovery Month Celebration on Thursday, Sept. 12, at Jack Dalton Park.
The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 130 Jack Dalton Road in Collinsville. This year’s theme, “Peers Thrive in 2025,” highlights the role of peer support in recovery.
Activities include:
- Walk for Hope at 11 a.m., with participants encouraged to dedicate their walk to someone they know in recovery.
- Free lunch at noon, with snacks, fruit and beverages available throughout the day.
- Guest speakers sharing personal recovery stories.
- Community resources offering support and information.
- Free giveaways for attendees.
“Recovery is a journey, and no one should have to walk it alone,” said Joshua Martin, PACE peer supervisor. “This event is not just about raising awareness, but also about celebrating the victories, big and small, and building a network of support within our community.”
Organizers said the event is designed for all ages, with food, games and activities available for families.
